An AirEase heat pump is a great alternative for certain climates, instead of using a standard split-system with an air conditioner and a heater.
If you live in a city that does not have very hot or cold seasons, then a heat pump should be able to handle your HVAC needs. Even if you live in an area with extreme seasons, pairing a heat pump with a gas furnace should be able to handle your home cooling and heating needs.
AirEase heat pumps are divided into three categories:
- Standard Home Comfort.
- Premium Home Comfort.
- Ultra Home Comfort.
The Standard Home Comfort series is the cheapest of the three and features two units: the base model and the high-efficiency 13 seasonal energy efficiency ratio or SEER model. The higher the SEER number, the more energy efficient a product is.
The base model also has a 13 SEER rating. The primary difference being the 13 SEER heat pump air conditioner has the Quiet Shift Technology, making it run quieter than the base model.
The Premium Home Comfort series features one AirEase heat pump model. The 14 SEER heat pump air conditioning unit is more powerful than the units in the Standard Home Comfort category. Its higher SEER rating means it conserves more energy as well. The increased power means it can cool and heat a larger area.
There are two heat pumps in the top-of-the-line Ultra Home Comfort series. The 16 SEER heat pump and the 18 SEER heat pump are better in every category when compared to the other units. They are quieter, more energy efficient and more powerful.
AirEase does not disclose the price of the units on its homepage. Contact contractors to give you a price quote on the best unit for your home and an installation estimate. It is recommended to hire a contractor to handle the installation for you because it can be dangerous to do it yourself.
Also, the warranty for the heat pump can become invalid if it is not installed by a licensed contractor.
Most contractors will give you a free estimate without requiring you to commit to an install. Take advantage of this by getting multiple quotes to get the best price.
Instead of using an AC and a heater, a heat pump can be used to take care of your HVAC needs. The size and layout of your home will influence the type of unit you need to effectively heat and cool your house. Contact a contractor to learn which AirEase heat pump is right for your home.
