Time Warner Cable has been in business since 1989, but the company has only recently entered the home security and home automation market. Their IntelligentHome service provides home security and automation services and gives you the option to control a number of elements in your home, including lighting, home heating, and cooling. You can also take advantage of home-video viewing remotely with this option. The service also allows you to control door and window sensors.

Around-the-clock security monitoring is included. With this system, you can track events on a daily basis in your home. Real-time information is available through activity logs, customized text alerts, and secure camera feeds. If you choose Time Warner Cable to install home security alarm and home automation systems in your home, you will be required to buy a package of products. Product packages range in cost from about $99 to about $700. The company also charges a monthly service fee that begins at about $34 per month and requires an 18-month service agreement.
