First Alert Professional Security Systems™ is a subsidiary of Honeywell. Do not confuse this “First Alert” service with others, including the nationally televised commercials for  “First Alert” services providing home-based emergency communications systems and services (the I’ve fallen and I can’t get up ads.)

Honeywell, through its First Alert division, offers a wide array of home security and monitoring services. Some of the home security features currently offered through First Alert include:

• Closed-circuit televisions to monitor your home
• Cameras you can customize to concentrate on specific areas of your home
• Live streaming video or recorded video accessible through an Internet connection
• Remote access to your entire security system, including surveillance cameras

First Alert offers a number of home monitoring packages that will support a home security system, including one that features video surveillance cameras. These packages can be customized to support any system you install, including upgrades for fire prevention/alarm-alerts.

Prices

First Alert features a nationwide network of certified installers. The price of installation will vary from region to region and from system to system. First Alert does offer price listing for some of its standard equipment:

• Wired indoor or outdoor camera – starting at $69.95
• Digital wireless indoor or outdoor camera – starting from $119.95 to $129.95
• Digital wireless display unit with one camera – staring from $199.99 to $289.95
• Digital wireless display unit with two cameras – starting from $359.99 to $384.95
• Wired DVR security camera system with four cameras – starting at $499.95
• Wired DVR security camera system with eight cameras – starting at $589.95
